When you have a passion for something, most likely it will require for you to sacrifice something.  It can be your family, sanity, or all of your time.

Friday, I was on the floor, crying my eyeballs out and wanted to walk away from Simple and Pretty Co. This is the first time that I have ever had this thought occur in my mind and it better be the last!

Simple and Pretty Co. is my baby.  I love it like how I love Andy and Sophie (my dog).  Because my brand is so personal, it is truly part of me.  This requires me to be working all of hours during the day and sometimes results in me not sleeping for 48 hours.

My business is ran on so many different levels and I have been at a lost lately.  #SIPANDMINGLE has been growing at a wonderful rate but that is just one part of my business.  The other part of my business is to provide you all my honest opinion on the products and trends that are out there.

Recently, I have been making it a push to work with brands to provide you content of products that I think will make your life a little easier.  Simple and Pretty Co. has shifted our mission a little because my process was not working.  It wasn’t working because I was timid and my plans did not align to my schedule.

When I started to collaborate with brands, I started in hopes to help their branding in the future.  Since #SIPANDMINGLE was showing a upward trend, I wasn’t able to coach or help with branding as much as I wanted.  Also, I noticed that people would want me to do their work for them but I have made it clear in the past that I am not a social media manager.  I am a teacher.

On the outside, I know that people think I am killing it.  In my mind, I think I am failing and falling down this never ending hole.  But what’s the point of sharing all of this?

It’s because failure doesn’t mean to quit.  It means that you just need to reevaluate on your goals and create a clear path for yourself.  If you’re brain is going a million different directions, then stop and figure out a way to get to 999,999 different directions.

Another reason for me sharing this is because I have to focus on what is working for Simple and Pretty Co. When I was first starting out, I was afraid to create relationships with certain brands because I felt like I wasn’t confident in my skills.  Building confidence takes time in anything you are seeking to do.  This is why Simple and Pretty Co. is creating a newsletter of all of our favorite things and to provide you special discount codes. Simple and Pretty Co. will be creating content that are both in the fashion and product world.

Please note that I do everything with you in mind.  When I create content, it does take time, energy and it would mean the world to me if you are able to support me when you can.  I will be linking things on the blog, Instagram, and Facebook and hope that if something strikes your interest, that you will use my special links or codes! This support just helps me keep going and continue to run Simple and Pretty Co.  If you ever have a question, don’t ever hesitate to ask me via email, DM or messages.  I am always here for you and can’t wait to show you more!
