I’ve gotten questions asking if it’s beneficial to enter in an Instagram Giveaway Loop.

Let’s talk about what is an Instagram Giveaway Loop before I dive in with my opinion on the matter.

You have seen it on your feed for a $1,000 PayPal giveaway if you follow all these people and tag a couple of friends.  Basically a one to a million change of winning.

As a personal brand, is it effective?

Yes and no.

Like anything, if you are willing to put in the work, then it will be worth it.

When looking for giveaway loop to join, you will want to look at your budget and determine how much you are looking to spend.  I personally have not seen this but it’s important to question loop giveaway that have “admin fees.” You want to make sure that everyone is equally providing the same amount for the giveaway.

For most people, the reason for you to have a loop giveaway is so that everyone can exchange followers.  Now that you have all of these new followers, the fun doesn’t stop there.  It is really important for you to make sure that you are following up with your new followers.  Most of the time they want to follow you is because they are looking to win the prize.  A lot of people unfollow once a winner is picked.  My suggestion is to keep track of your new followers during the actual giveaway.  Create a dialogue with them so that you have more of a chance maintaining their loyalty.  If you are a brand selling product, I would offer a discount so that they still feel like their follow is worth something… well because it is.

How to get started.  Just talk to a group of ladies who are in your circle. Just start simple by doing a small $100 PayPal cash prize.  If you have 4 ladies, that is only $25 for each person.
